Introduced in 1961 the Canon Canonet is a coupled rangefinder with manual or shutter priority automatic exposure. It has a fast f1.9 45mm lens and a 1 to 500th Copal shutter. On this model the aperture selected is displayed in the viewfinder. The winder is under the body. The Olympus Trip 35 was hugely popular in the 1970's because of its small size and simplicity of use. Fully automatic with zone focusing a red flag pops up and prevents the shutter from firing when there is insufficient light. The superb lens is a 40mm f2.8 Zuiko. |
